I almost cried when I showered just now. I'm not joking. Having a hot shower (and a showerhead) became a privilege.
I didn't spend much in India, but once I reached, I almost immediately went for a hair treatment. And spent a bomb. To pamper myself, from living in a state of lack of basic necessities for 2 weeks and a little more.
I look terrible now - pale, terrible eyebags, no dress up, no make up. Not that I put on any on any other day. And when I stand among others, I feel I'm so dress down. But travelling, interacting with different people has taught me among other things that self worth comes from within.
Met up with some of my high school friends just now. :)
